DE-ICING
For safe and efficient de-icing of low-traffic areas such as pedestrian and bicycle paths and sidewalks, it is required that the liquid is always spread with both the right dosage and full coverage of the surface. The requirements are therefore significantly higher than when spreading on high-traffic roads where the traffic helps to distribute the liquid over the roadway.
The L20 is designed to meet the higher demands of de-icing while also offering additional benefits such as low operating costs by being electrically driven and completely free from hydraulics. This also allows for optimal spreading from a standstill to full speed. The compact design of the machine contributes to good visibility and accessibility, which is especially appreciated in de-icing where space is often limited. Without a trailing vehicle, it is also easy to reverse and turn.

DUST BINDING
Thanks to its high capacity and dynamic dosing range, the L20 is ideal for efficient and smooth dust binding of both asphalt and gravel surfaces. Just like in de-icing, it is important that the liquid is dosed correctly and with full coverage for the best effect, environment, and economy.
WATERING
With a hose package, the L20 can be used for de-icing stairs, entrances, or watering vegetation. The electric drive also allows the spreader to be operated with the vehicle engine off.
SPRAY SYSTEM
The liquid is spread by a row of nozzles that handle a very wide range of dosing with maintained spread pattern. The nozzles therefore do not need to be changed or adjusted for different speeds or spreading amounts. The individual valves of the nozzles also ensure that no liquid drips when stopped. The spray system is suitable for all commonly used de-icing agents, fertilizers, and water.
WIRELESS CONTROL
The operator controls the machine wirelessly with a smartphone app. The system is very well-proven and uses GPS to automatically adjust the dosing to the vehicle's speed. The app is very popular and has a well-thought-out menu system where program selection and all spreader functions are easily controlled directly on the screen. The wireless control makes the spreader easy to use with several different vehicles as no cabling is needed to connect the spreader to the control unit.
With over 1000 installations, the app is well-proven and has received very good reviews. Download and read more about the app on Google Play.

DESIGN
The ForshagaSpridaren L20 is very compact, robust, and specially designed to optimize space behind the vehicle. This gives the operator the best possible visibility and accessibility.
The machine builds on our long experience with electric drive of sand and salt spreaders. The container is molded in heavy-duty HD polyethylene with built-in baffles and level pipes. Filling is done via a 3” camlock connection or through the tank lid. The liquid is pumped with a 3-cylinder high-pressure diaphragm pump driven by a powerful electric motor. Everything is integrated and protected above the tank for easy access to all service points. The spreader is delivered complete with rear and flashing LED lights. The machine is mounted in a type 2 or type 3 three-point hitch.

ENVIRONMENT & ECONOMY
The L20 is a good machine for the environment and your wallet. Thanks to electric operation, the vehicle's fuel consumption and power requirements are reduced compared to a hydraulic system. The even spread pattern contributes to less brine consumption as lower dosing can be applied with the same result. The precision of electric operation also means there is no need to overdose to compensate for uneven operation.
Other economic benefits are that the work can be performed faster thanks to the machine's agility. With few moving parts and minimal maintenance needs, costs are also kept down.
DOCUMENTATION & DATA TRANSFER
All machine activities are continuously logged in the system with GPS position and time, providing opportunities for follow-up and quality assurance. Log files can be easily opened in TimeReport, which is available for download on our customer pages. Read more about this system here.
Our machines comply with the EU standard for the transfer of operational data (CEN-15430) to, for example, the Swedish Transport Administration. Several providers such as Mowic and Zeekit can automatically receive this data in their systems for further processing.
